ချက်ပြုတ်နည်း — Amazonian & beach-kiosk kitchens · 🏺 Traditional · Amazonian staple turned nationwide beach and gym food
Amazonian, popularised nationwide — Açaí na tigela is a bowl of frozen, mashed açaí palm fruit, popularised from the Amazon across Brazil's beaches and gyms as an energising sweet, typically topped with granola and banana. In the Amazon itself açaí is more often eaten savoury, alongside fish and cassava flour.
Break the frozen açaí packs into chunks. Peel and slice one banana (frozen is best for thickness) and set the other aside for topping.
Put the açaí chunks, the sliced banana and the guaraná syrup into a blender. Blend on high, stopping to scrape down, until it forms a thick, smooth purée.
💡 Keep it thick — a proper açaí bowl holds its shape like soft sorbet. Add cold water only a spoon at a time, and only if the blades stall.
Taste — if the pulp is very tart, blend in the optional 10 g sugar.
Spoon the thick açaí into two chilled bowls and smooth the tops.
Slice the reserved banana over the top, scatter the granola and the strawberries, and serve immediately with a spoon before it softens.
